Sen. Hinton Mitchem (D, Union Grove) was elected to the Alabama Senate in 1978. This will be his last year. Our own CommonSense predicted this several days ago. I'm very grateful that Mitchem has made his decision public so that Democrats will have a fighting chance to recruit a candidate for his Senate seat. ...
